STRANGER ON THE SHORE by Roseanne Dowell gets LADYBUGGED
STRANGER ON THE SHORE by
It's a Lake Effects
snow storm, and he's out there, washed up from somewhere she can't tell. He's dead weight, though he's not dead, but he will be if she doesn't somehow get him inside and warmed up.
Roseanne Dowell is the unofficial
Duchess of Sweet Romance and this is another one of her best short shorts.
My very prolific, best selling daughter Kat Holmes was born almost looking out at the lonnnng stretch of Lake Erie,
effecting much of our weather patterns in Erie, PA, so I KNOW Lake Effects snow storms. They can be brutal, come on with no warning, not a cloud in the sky, last for hours, and churn up enough snow to close everything down for weeks.
This romance is gentle, respectful, and progresses at a tender pace. It doesn't leave you blushing or ducking for a place to hide nor does it have you grabbing for the nearest blanket for cover yourself just in case some of the steam might rise from the
scalding pages and seer the lashes from your eye lids.
I also think this is one of my favorite of Ms. Dowell's covers, although that has nothing to do with the review...just a side bar comment.
STRANGER ON THE SHORE
Well Done Ms. Dowell...
4 1/2 Stars and a BIG
thank you for taking me to some of my own incredible memories of
Mother Nature's many faces. We can't go wrong reading ANY book by you, but especially this one!
